Don Maas, an engineer with Peek Traffic

On April 12, Orange Traffic sponsored a presentation by Don Maas, an engineer with Peek Traffic, to a TAC working group during the spring technical meeting of the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC) held in Ottawa from April 9 to 15.

A recognized expert in the field of intersection traffic control, Mr. Maas explained to an audience of more than fifty how various prioritization techniques can be applied to public transit.

Available in Québec exclusively through Orange Traffic, the Peek ATC-1000 Controller is the first of a new generation of modular controllers from Peek Traffic designed to TAC standards. It specifically introduces state-of-the-art features for prioritizing public transport vehicles. With nearly 14,000 units currently installed in New York City, more than 1,000 in Toronto and over 500 in Montréal, the ATC-1000 has proven its value in controlling intersection traffic.
