Since the summer of 2019, Orange Traffic is proud to see the LED signs standardized by the MTQ (Transports Qu\u00e9bec) in their Volume V. From then on, some dynamic signs have the same rights of use as static signs, while allowing a greater fluidity on the roads and by increasing the vigilance of the motorists and the safety of all the users of the road.<\/p>\n

In section 8.18.1 of Volume V of the MTQ, it is stated that “variable speed limit signs (PLVV) are luminous prescription signs to indicate to road users the prescribed speed limit. They can only be used when this speed limit can vary dynamically over time, depending in particular on traffic conditions, climatic conditions, the state of the roadway or periods of school activities.” This solution that increases safety and fluidity on the roads is already installed in several locations in Quebec.<\/p>\n

In order to prioritize public transit on the roads, section 8.18.3 of the Volume V standardizes LED signs for reserved lanes similar to those currently installed in Quebec City. Optimizing traffic flow for buses is essential to increase the number of public transport users.<\/p>\n

With many distractions on the roads, it may be difficult for motorists to be alert to all indications. Orange Traffic is proud to innovate by offering products that make the safety of all road users a priority.
